By installing, accessing, or using the Animal Codex mobile application (the "App") and the related Animal Codex landing site at fokuszmester.com/animalcodex, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Animal Codex.
Animal Codex is an offline-first pet health records management application for Android. The App allows pet owners to record vaccinations, medications, veterinary visits, expenses, and supporting documents on their own device. All data is stored locally; Animal Codex does not run a backend service that hosts user data.
The Animal Codex landing site includes an optional TikTok publishing feature, powered by the TikTok Login Kit and Content Posting API. When a user voluntarily signs in with TikTok and grants the requested scopes (user.info.basic, video.upload, video.publish), Animal Codex can upload a short pet-care video to the user's own TikTok account on the user's explicit request. Each upload requires the user's manual confirmation; Animal Codex never posts in the background and never publishes on behalf of any other user. The user can revoke access at any time in their TikTok account settings.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use Animal Codex. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement.
The Animal Codex name, logo, source code, and design assets are the intellectual property of the Animal Codex publisher. You receive a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App for your own pet record-keeping purposes. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the App except as expressly permitted by applicable law.
Your use of Animal Codex is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data the App handles, where it is stored, and how the optional TikTok integration treats authentication tokens.
Animal Codex is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The App is a personal record-keeping aid and is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical decisions concerning your animal.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Animal Codex publisher shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App or the TikTok integration, including without limitation any loss of data on your device.
You may stop using Animal Codex at any time by uninstalling the App and revoking any third-party permissions you previously granted. We may suspend or terminate the optional TikTok integration if a user violates TikTok's policies or these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at https://fokuszmester.com/animalcodex/terms with the effective date shown above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
